The coronavirus a sickness that is wreaking havoc on the globe having been declared a pandemic. The virus has completely overturned lives across the planet, restricting movement, shutting schools and forcing many to work from home. Nations are now taking drastic measures to fight the outbreak and reduce loss of life.

Our church in Sydney joins believers all over the world who are looking to God and His Word. By choosing to make God and His Word our standard, we eliminate doubt, confusion and the fear that has comes with coronavirus.

During this epidemic, one way to fight Coronavirus for believers is to pray according to Scripture. Relying on Scripture will give us a spiritual foundation on which to base our faith for a move from God.

Here are 6 ways to pray against coronavirus.

1. Pray with Boldness

We should pray with boldness because God has already given it to us according to Hebrews 4:16

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

2. Pray without Fear

Let us approach God without any fear but with faith. He has already promised that nothing will harm us if we stand against evil

In 2 Timothy 1:7, God tells us that He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind

3. Pray for Protection

Continue praying for God’s protection that he will protect you as He did the Jews of the Old Testament. He gave them this promise:

No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling (Psalms 91:10)

4. Pray that Doctors Find a Cure

Continue praying that doctors who are looking for an antidote find one soon.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him (James 1:5)

5. Pray for the Healing of those are Infected

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men (1 Timothy 2:1)

6. Pray in the Name of Jesus

All things have been made subject to Jesus. He is the authority. Pray against the virus in the name of Jesus.

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, (Philippians 2:9-10)

We can approach God’s throne of Mercy in prayer and He will hear us. He cares for us no matter the situation in the world around us.  We can seek and trust Him.
